  • ​​Setting up an employers' scheme with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC)

  • Calculating your employees' net pay, report the information to HMRC and provide payslips

  • Calculate the PAYE and national insurance deductions applicable

  • Work out sick, paternity or maternity leave and holiday entitlement

  • File regular real time information (RTI's) to HMRC.

  • Provide year end returns eg P60's

If you are a new business I can help you decide if you need to be VAT registered. After start up I will monitor your turnover levels to see if it becomes obligatory to register for VAT.

Also if your business is already VAT registered I would make a judgement if it would benefit the business to deregister.

Making tax digital is part of the government's plan to make it easier for individuals and businesses to get their tax right and keep on top of their affairs-meaning the end of the annual tax return for millions.

Businesses and individuals with a turnover over £85,000 will be required to keep digital records from April 2019.

Making tax digital is a system to support businesses and their agents to get their tax right and reduce the amount of tax lost through avoidable error.

This means:-

  • Businesess and individuals can see the information held by HMRC and check that the details are correct at any time.

  • Tax outstanding will be calculated as close to real time as possible.

  • Taxpayers will be able to see a single picture of their liabilities and entitlements in one place much like online banking.

  • Interact digitally at any time with HMRC.

Corporation Tax

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If your business is a limited company then its taxable profits are subject to corporation tax.
​​

As soon as you start your company you must register with HMRC .

If your company is subject to corporation tax, you are obligated to calculate the amount of profit for the period and the corportion tax
due on these profits.

You must report this information to HMRC on a CT600 form before the deadline to avoid any penalties.

I can prepare your CT600 and calculate your Corporation Tax payment.

As I have used Sage desktop accounting software for 21 years I pretty much know all there is to know. I can therefore complete or assist in bookkeeping, carry out Sage training, and assist with set up of Sage.
